Grid: The 4x4 square on which the numbered tiles are arranged in the 2048 game.

Tiles: The squares that appear on the grid, each with a number on it, that players slide to combine and create higher-value tiles.

Swipe: The action of moving a tile on the grid by sliding it in one of four directions (up, down, left, or right) using a finger or mouse.

Combine: The process of merging two tiles of the same number by sliding them into each other, creating a tile with the sum of their values.

Value: The numerical amount displayed on a tile in the 2048 game, starting at 2 and doubling with each subsequent value (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).

2048: The goal of the game, which is to create a tile with the value of 2048 by combining tiles on the grid.

Score: The total number of points earned by the player based on the value of the tiles combined during gameplay.

High score: The highest score achieved by a player in a single game of 2048.

Corner: One of the four outer squares on the grid, where it is often recommended to start combining tiles.

Power of 2: The mathematical concept that powers the values of the tiles in 2048, as each value is a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32, etc.).
